Service Description

Navigating the educational journey for a child with a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) can be complex and challenging for parents. My parent services are designed to provide comprehensive support and guidance during an initial primary school visit, specifically within the Melbourne metro schools that adopt a whole school approach using explicit teaching methods. This will help ensure your child receives the best possible educational experience. I offer personalised assistance in understanding your child's unique needs, collaborating with educators and specialists, and advocating for appropriate accommodations and resources. By partnering with me, you can confidently approach school meetings, knowing you have expert support to help your child thrive both academically and socially. I offer a flat fee of two hours, this includes time collating reports, consolidating documents and supporting parents with recommendations into a Student Support Binder. Please note: I do not offer Family Support Services at schools that use Balanced Literacy or Reading Recovery as interventions. (Please check school websites for intervention information). NB my transport costs are not included in my fees.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or other obligations. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, you may be preventing another client from receiving much-needed assistance and support. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the service cost. To cancel your appointment, please call me at 0419672046 or email us at heidigregorypaentadvocacy@gmail.com. No-Show Policy: If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without prior notice, you will be charged 50% of the service cost. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
